Brig. (Dr.) B.D. Mishra, the Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh, visited Rashtrapati Bhavan on today to meet with President Droupadi Murmu. The meeting focused on various issues related to the development of Ladakh and the region’s progress.
Lt Governor Mishra briefed the President on the progress made by the Ladakh administration in various areas such as infrastructure development, tourism, education, and health care. He also highlighted the unique challenges faced by the region due to its geographical location and harsh climatic conditions.
President Droupadi Murmu expressed her appreciation for the efforts made by the Ladakh administration to improve the standard of living for the people of Ladakh. She encouraged Lt Governor Mishra to continue working towards the development of the region and emphasized the importance of preserving Ladakh’s rich cultural heritage.
The Lt Governor and the President discussed the need for more investment in infrastructure development, particularly in areas such as road connectivity, power generation, and communication. They also discussed the potential for promoting tourism in the region and the need to balance development with environmental conservation.
