The box office journey of “Madgaon Express” took an expected dip on its fifth day, indicating a slight setback in its earnings despite a promising start. Directed by Kunal Kemmu, the comedy-drama witnessed a decline in collections, as reported by trade analyst Taran Adarsh. The film, which marks Kemmu’s directorial debut, managed to garner just over ₹11 crore in India by day five.
Despite reduced ticket rates, “Madgaon Express” managed to maintain a steady flow of audience footfalls, nearly matching its opening day business. However, its Monday and Tuesday collections saw a notable drop compared to the weekend figures.
According to Adarsh’s analysis, the film raked in ₹1.63 crore on Friday, followed by ₹2.72 crore on Saturday and Sunday respectively. Monday witnessed a slight decline with ₹2.72 crore, followed by Tuesday’s collection of ₹1.46 crore. With these numbers, “Madgaon Express” has accumulated a total of ₹11.34 crore at the Indian box office so far.
While the film’s performance has seen a slight decline, its ability to maintain consistency in audience turnout indicates a level of sustained interest. As the week progresses, it remains to be seen whether “Madgaon Express” can regain momentum and continue its journey towards box office success.
