Madhya Pradesh Train Accident: Two coaches of the Indore-Jabalpur Overnight Express derailed on Saturday morning near the Jabalpur Railway Station in Madhya Pradesh, India.
The incident occurred at around 5:50 am as the train was approaching platform number six. According to railway officials, the derailed coaches were the ones right behind the engine, about 150 meters from the platform. Despite the derailment, no casualties or injuries were reported among the passengers.

Harshit Shrivastava, the Chief Public Relations Officer of West Central Railway, stated that the train was moving at a very slow, dead-stop speed when the incident happened. This allowed all passengers to disembark safely.
Madhya Pradesh Train Accident: Multi-Departmental Committee Formed for Investigation
A multi-departmental committee has been formed to investigate the cause of the derailment. As per initial reports, there was no major impact on rail traffic, as only one platform at Jabalpur station was closed for operations.

This incident comes just a few weeks after 22 bogies of the Sabarmati Express derailed between Kanpur and Bhimsen station in Uttar Pradesh on August 17.
