Similarly, the states of Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Bihar are forecasted to experience rainfall and thunderstorms from the 23rd to the 27th of August.

Northeast India: Rainfall Continues

In the northeastern region of India, which includes states like Assam, Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh, the coming week is likely to be dominated by light to moderate, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall. Thunderstorms and lightning could also punctuate the weather pattern, making it a relatively damp period for this part of the country. Isolated heavy rainfall spells are also expected, particularly over Assam & Meghalaya, and Arunachal Pradesh from the 23rd to the 27th of August.

While much of India braces for rain, the southern part, particularly north Tamil Nadu and Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Yanam is expected to experience light to moderate, scattered to fairly widespread rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning on the 23rd of August, 2023.
