Draupadi Murmu, born Durgi Biranchi Tudu on June 20, 1958, is the 15th and current President of India, assuming office in 2022. She is noted for her historic achievements as the first tribal community member and the second woman after Pratibha Patil to hold the esteemed presidential office. Murmu also holds the distinction of being the youngest person to assume the presidency at the age of 64 and the first president born in independent India.

Prior to her presidency, Draupadi Murmu served as the 8th Governor of Jharkhand from 2015 to 2021, holding the record for the longest tenure as governor of the state.
