Ministry Of Ayush To Host Its 1st ‘Chintan Shivir’ At Kaziranga National Park.

The Ministry of Ayush is organizing a two-day conference called “Chintan Shivir” at Kaziranga National Park, Assam from February 27th – 28th, 2023. The event will be graced by the Union Minister of Ayush, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal, and the MoS for Ayush, Dr. Munjapara Mahendrabhai, along with other eminent speakers, experts, officials, and dignitaries from the Ayush sector.

The conference will focus on futuristic improvements in the implementation of existing policies and programs relating to the Ayush sector and traditional medicine. It aims to initiate dialogue and chart a way forward for the Ministry and the Ayush sector as a whole.

Panel discussions and interactive sessions with experts and stakeholders from the Ministry of Ayush, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Ministry of Education, Government of Assam, NITI-Aayog, Industry, Startups, and Academia, will be conducted to discuss various themes related to Ayush.

The first day will have sessions on digital health and technology in Ayush, Ayush research, future strategy, challenges, and way forward, and Ayush education, future initiatives, capacity building, employment generation, and NEP.

The second day will focus on current challenges and the way forward in Ayush drug industries, services, and standardization of Ayush products, as well as Ayush in public health, challenges, and way forward.

The conference will also discuss ways to incentivize Ayush startups and manufacturers to build a startup ecosystem in Ayush and work towards building a more robust research and development infrastructure for Ayush.

India is currently holding the presidency of G20 countries and SCO (Shanghai Corporation Organization), and there has been a paradigm shift in health-seeking trends toward Ayush systems. This conference aims to bring Ayush systems to the fore and build a roadmap for their upgradation, integration with technological advancements, and identification of ways to integrate Ayush with the New Education Policy while also identifying current services with potential improvements to take advantage of Ayush.

The conference also offers an opportunity for participants to experience the traditions, culture, wildlife, and biodiversity of Assam. The two days event will have many other side activities, including cultural performances amidst the serene surroundings of Kaziranga National Park.
