Coal India Limited (CIL) saw its production rise to 55.04 MT in July 2024, marking a 2.54% increase from 53.67 MT in July 2023. The cumulative coal production up to July 2024 stands at a provisional 321.45 MT for FY’ 24-25, compared to 292.80 MT during the same period in FY’ 23-24, indicating a notable 9.78% growth.
Surge in Coal Dispatch and Stock
Coal dispatches also experienced significant growth, reaching 79.54 MT in July 2024, a 4.58% increase from 76.05 MT in July 2023. The cumulative coal dispatch up to July 2024 is provisionally recorded at 341.61 MT for FY’ 24-25, compared to 316.54 MT during the same period in FY’ 23-24, representing a 7.92% increase. Additionally, coal stock held by companies surged to 86.8 MT as of July 31, 2024, reflecting an impressive annual growth rate of 43.85%.
