The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways has launched its Special Campaign 3.0, with a primary objective to enhance administrative efficiency. This campaign encompasses several critical areas of operation, aiming to optimize processes and improve the overall work environment.
One of the significant achievements of the campaign is the meticulous review of physical and electronic files. Out of 24,215 physical files, a remarkable 24,023 have been reviewed. Further, 6,847 files have been identified for disposal, with 1,857 files successfully weeded out. In the digital realm, the Ministry has put up 13,848 E-files for review, with 1,012 files reviewed and 7,538 closed.
Active Promotion on Social Media
Campaign awareness has been a top priority, and the Ministry has taken to social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), Facebook, and Instagram. Over 50 posts have been shared through the official social media handles of the Ministry and its Autonomous Bodies to keep the public informed about the ongoing campaign.
Cleanliness drives have been a notable part of the campaign, with 94 out of 97 sites already benefiting from this initiative. A remarkable 1,421 square feet of space has been freed through these efforts, contributing to a cleaner and more organized work environment.
Realizing Revenue through Scrap Disposal
In addition to promoting efficiency, the campaign has also proven financially beneficial. The Ministry has earned an impressive revenue of Rs. 1,17,09,095 by effectively disposing of scrap materials.
The Special Campaign 3.0 has diligently focused on public grievances. Out of 91 public grievances targets, 90 have been addressed. In addition, the Ministry has successfully achieved 6 out of 9 PMO references, 47 out of 59 references from MPs, and 37 out of 42 parliamentary assurance targets. All 4 IMC references (Cabinet Proposals) targets and all 7 State Government reference targets have been met.
Progress and Milestones
The Special Campaign 3.0 was initiated with a preparatory phase on 15th September 2023, dedicated to identifying specific targets for the main phase. The primary campaign, which runs from 2nd October 2023 to 31 October 2023, has already yielded substantial progress and marked achievements.
