”Mission Raniganj” Movie Review:-
Akshay Kumar has consistently excelled in portraying real-life heroes on the silver screen, and “Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue” is no exception. This film tells the remarkable story of Jaswant Singh Gill, the Additional Chief Mining Engineer who saved 65 miners from a perilous flooded coal mine in Raniganj, West Bengal, in 1989, when hope for their survival had all but vanished.
Akshay Kumar’s portrayal of Jaswant Singh Gill is nothing short of brilliant. Known for his strong screen presence and versatility, Kumar delivers an outstanding performance in this film. His impeccable acting, dialogue delivery and expressions as the mining engineer are truly impressive. Fresh from the success of his recent release, ‘OMG 2,’ Kumar closes the year with yet another stellar performance as the fearless hero who risked his life to rescue trapped miners.
“Mission Raniganj” is an engaging and thrilling film that will keep viewers on the edge of their seats for its two-hour duration. It not only offers action and drama but also a touch of romance between the lead actor and Parineeti Chopra, who plays his wife, Nirdosh Kaur Gill. Despite limited screen time, Chopra delivers a convincing performance.
The supporting cast of “Mission Raniganj” also deserves praise, with actors like Kumud Mishra, Pavan Malhotra, Ravi Kishan, Varun Badola, Jameel Khan, and Dibyendu Bhattacharya portraying their characters with ease. The film’s inspiring narrative keeps the audience hooked, with nerve-wracking twists and turns.
While “Mission Raniganj” may contain some clichés and could have benefited from stronger writing, its gritty portrayal of the evacuation drama deserves applause. It’s a must-watch for everyone, especially for Akshay Kumar’s exceptional acting and the commendable effort by the makers in bringing this gripping 80s saga to the big screen. Don’t miss “Mission Raniganj” in theaters for an unforgettable cinematic experience.
