On the 28th of February Modi applauds the spirit of Yuva Sangam as students from Assam visited the Amul Cooperative’s dairy plant in Anand, Gujarat. The event, which was organized by the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB), aimed to expose students to the cooperative model of dairy farming and inspire them to become entrepreneurs in their own right.
The Prime Minister praised the students for their enthusiasm and willingness to learn, and he urged them to take advantage of the opportunities presented to them. He encouraged them to become job creators, rather than job seekers, and to use their knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of their communities and the country as a whole.
The Amul Cooperative’s dairy plant in Anand is a shining example of the success of the cooperative model. It was established in 1946 by a group of dairy farmers who came together to form a cooperative society. Today, it is one of the largest dairy cooperatives in the world, with over 3.6 million members across 18,700 villages in Gujarat.
The success of the Amul model has inspired many other cooperatives across India, and it has played a crucial role in the development of rural communities. The cooperative model has also been used in other sectors, such as agriculture and handicrafts, to promote inclusive growth and development.
The Prime Minister’s address to the students at Yuva Sangam is a reminder of the importance of youth empowerment and the role that cooperatives can play in creating a self-reliant India. By exposing young people to the cooperative model and inspiring them to become entrepreneurs, we can create a more equitable and prosperous society.
