Launch of LIC’s Bima Sakhi Yojana

At around 2 PM in Panipat, Prime Minister Modi will launch the Bima Sakhi Yojana, a transformative initiative by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC). This scheme aims to:

• Empower women aged 18-70 years, with a minimum Class X qualification.
• Provide specialized training and a stipend for three years to enhance financial literacy and insurance awareness.
• Enable participants to serve as LIC agents, with opportunities to progress to Development Officer roles.

PM Modi will also distribute appointment certificates to newly inducted Bima Sakhis, reaffirming his commitment to women’s empowerment and financial inclusion.

Foundation Stone of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Main Campus of Maharana Pratap Horticultural University in Karnal. This major project will feature:

• Spread Over 495 Acres: The campus and six regional research stations will be built at a cost exceeding ₹700 crore.
• Focus on Research and Education: It will house a College of Horticulture for graduate and post-graduate studies, alongside five schools covering 10 horticulture disciplines.
