Multiple cyclonic circulations are influencing the weather across India, with key systems located over northeast Rajasthan, southeast Pakistan, Gujarat, northeast Assam, and south Bangladesh. These circulations are extending up to middle tropospheric levels, impacting weather patterns across various regions.

Monsoon Forecast for Northwest India

Northwest India is expected to receive fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall throughout the week. Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh will see isolated heavy rainfall, with the potential for very heavy rainfall in West Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and East Rajasthan on specific dates. Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi are also forecasted to experience significant rainfall during this period.

Monsoon: Rainfall Predictions for West & Central India

West and Central India are likely to experience fairly widespread to widespread light to moderate rainfall, particularly in Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, and Gujarat. Isolated heavy rainfall is anticipated over Madhya Pradesh and the Gujarat region, with Chhattisgarh expecting significant rainfall between August 13th and 16th.

East, Northeast, and South Peninsular India Weather Outlook

Eastern and northeastern regions are expected to see fairly widespread light to moderate rainfall, with isolated heavy rainfall over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, and other northeastern states. Southern Peninsular India will experience widespread rainfall, with isolated heavy downpours likely in Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. Very heavy rainfall is also forecasted for Tamil Nadu and Kerala on specific dates.

These weather patterns reflect the active monsoon phase, with significant rainfall expected across multiple regions, necessitating preparedness for possible localized flooding and other weather-related challenges.
