The Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways (MoPSW) executed the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 3.0 across its central secretariat and various autonomous, attached, and subordinate outstation offices. This impactful campaign spanned from October 2, 2023, to October 31, 2023, with a primary emphasis on efficiently resolving outstanding matters, including public grievances, parliamentary references, assurances, cleanliness initiatives, scrap disposal, and file decluttering.
Throughout the period from October 2 to October 31, 2023, the MoPSW undertook 395 cleaning campaigns, resulting in the weeding out of 62,607 physical files and the review of 29,304 e-files. Among the reviewed e-files, 12,473 were processed, and 3,197 were successfully closed. Additionally, approximately 3,710 sq. ft. of space was reclaimed by eliminating redundant items.
Noteworthy achievements during this period include the resolution of 91 public grievances, disposal of 7 out of 9 Prime Minister’s Office references, the accomplishment of 25 Parliamentary assurances, and the successful handling of all 4 IMC References (Cabinet Proposals) and 7 State Government References.
The Ministry simplified 10 out of 13 Easing of Rules/Processes and generated a revenue of ₹5,70,42,927 through scrap disposal. Furthermore, out of the targeted 46 References from Members of Parliament, the Ministry achieved 31.
In an effort to engage with the public and showcase its initiatives under SCDPM 3.0, the Ministry effectively utilized social media platforms for widespread outreach.
All offices under the jurisdiction of the Ministry actively participated in Special Campaign 3.0, demonstrating enthusiasm and successfully meeting the predetermined targets established during the preparatory phase.
