Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed delight at the overwhelming response to the PM-Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana, announcing that over 1 crore households have already registered for the scheme since its launch just a month ago.
He commended the widespread participation from across the nation, highlighting significant registrations from states such as Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Odisha, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh, each witnessing over 5 lakh registrations.
Encouraging further participation, PM Modi urged those who haven’t registered yet to do so at the earliest, emphasizing the scheme’s importance in providing free electricity to eligible households.
