Following his arrival in New Delhi on Tuesday evening, President Tharman Shanmugaratnam engaged in high-level talks on Wednesday.
External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar held discussions with the visiting President, focusing on crucial areas like semiconductor development, industrial parks, skilling, digitalisation, and trade expansion. These conversations are expected to deepen the strategic ties between India and Singapore.
Bilateral Meetings with Indian Leaders
During his visit, President Shanmugaratnam is set to talk to President Murmu and Prime Minister Modi for further bilateral discussions. The meetings aim to enhance cooperation in various sectors, reinforcing the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between the two countries.
Odisha Visit and Further Engagements
After his engagements in New Delhi, President Shanmugaratnam will travel to Odisha from January 17-18. His visit is poised to strengthen diplomatic and economic relations, fostering deeper collaboration in areas of mutual interest between India and Singapore.
