After inaugurating the Z-Morh tunnel in Jammu & Kashmir, Prime Minister Narendra Modi continued his engagements on Monday by celebrating Lohri and Pongal in Delhi. His celebrations took place at Naraina village and the residence of Union Minister G Kishen Reddy, accompanied by party leaders and cabinet colleagues.
Lohri Celebrations in Naraina Village
The PM visited Naraina village, where he lit the traditional Lohri fire and interacted with the Punjabi community. He attended a cultural program featuring traditional Lohri music, sharing the joy of the occasion with enthusiasm.

Pongal Festivities at G Kishen Reddy’s Residence
Later, PM Narendra Modi joined Pongal celebrations hosted by Union Minister G Kishen Reddy, an event marked by Tamil traditions and grandeur. Prominent figures, including Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, actor Chiranjeevi, BJP President JP Nadda, and Union Minister L. Murugan, were present.
The festivities emphasized cultural diversity and unity, with PM Modi taking part in traditional rituals. His participation reinforced the importance of celebrating India’s diverse heritage and uniting people across regions and communities.
