15th Speaker of the Madhya Pradesh Legislative Assembly, Narendra Singh Tomar, conveyed warm birthday wishes to Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha, celebrating the leader’s contributions to the state and his dedication to public service.
Born on January 8, 1953, Manik Saha assumed the role of Tripura’s 11th Chief Minister in 2022, representing the Town Bordowali Assembly constituency. His political journey saw a shift from the Indian National Congress to the Bharatiya Janata Party in 2016. Saha served as the President of the Bharatiya Janata Party, Tripura unit, from 2020 to 2022, demonstrating his leadership within the party.
In June 2022, Manik Saha secured his position as a Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), solidifying his political influence. Known for his staunch criticism of communism in Tripura, Saha openly declared himself as anti-communist and a committed capitalist, reflecting his political ideology.
“Despite being in a state known for its historical poverty, Manik Saha stands out as one of the richest chief ministers in India. His unique position in Tripura’s political landscape underscores the diverse political dynamics and shifts within the region”.
