With just eight days remaining until its theatrical release on February 14, 2025, the historical drama “Chhaava,” starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna, and Akshaye Khanna, has released a new song titled “Aaya Re Toofan”. The track is composed by AR Rahman.
Musical Ode to Valor
“Aaya Re Toofan” pays tribute to the valor of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, portrayed by Vicky Kaushal. The film, directed by Laxman Utekar and produced by Dinesh Vijan’s Maddock Films, is based on the life of the Maratha king.
About “Chhaava”
“Chhaava” is a historical action film adapted from the Marathi novel “Chhava” by Shivaji Sawant. Rashmika Mandanna plays Maharani Yesubai, and Akshaye Khanna portrays Mughal emperor Aurangzeb.
The film has received a U/A certificate and has a runtime that is yet to be revealed. The film’s score is composed by A. R. Rahman, with lyrics by Irshad Kamil. The film was initially set for release in December 2024 but was postponed.
