The National Institute for MSME (NI-MSME), an esteemed organization under the Ministry of MSME, Government of India, has been honored with an Accreditation Certificate following its successful completion of the (National Standards for Civil Services Training Institutions) NSCSTI process. The award recognizes the institute’s exceptional contributions to the promotion and development of MSMEs.
Assessment and Accreditation by CBC & ICARE
The accreditation, which includes a prestigious “Utkrisht” 3-star rating, was granted after a thorough on-site assessment conducted by a team from the Capacity Building Commission (CBC) and ICARE. The evaluation focused on the Standard Operating Procedures and Methodologies employed by NI-MSME at various operational levels, ensuring adherence to national standards.

At the Civil Services Training Institutions (CSTI) Convention on August 12, 2024, held at Vigyan Bhavan, New Delhi, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Minister of State for Science and Technology, presented the Accreditation Certificate to the Director General of NI-MSME. This recognition underscores the institute’s vital role in fostering the growth and prosperity of MSMEs in India.
NI-MSME’s Pioneering Role in MSME Development
Established in 1962, NI-MSME has played a significant role in entrepreneurship and skill development, both in India and internationally. The institute’s efforts are supported by its four Schools of Excellence and its collaboration with global organizations such as UNIDO, UNDP, and UNESCO. With over 5,71,000 participants trained and more than 959 research and consultancy projects completed, NI-MSME continues to be a cornerstone in the development of MSMEs.
