Union Minister for Finance and Corporate Affairs, Nirmala Sitharaman, chaired a review meeting in Puducherry to assess the special saturation drive of various Modi government’s flagship schemes. The meeting, attended by Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru N. Rangaswamy, ministers, and senior officials of the government of Puducherry, highlighted the remarkable progress made by the Union Territory (UT) in the implementation of centrally sponsored and financial inclusion schemes.
Progress in Implementation of Flagship Schemes in Puducherry
During the review meeting, it was noted that Puducherry has made significant strides in the implementation of at least 22 central government’s flagship schemes. The meeting emphasized the importance of maintaining this momentum and ensuring that all eligible beneficiaries in Puducherry are covered under the schemes.
Appreciation for Collaborative Efforts
Nirmala Sitharaman expressed her gratitude to Chief Minister Thiru N. Rangaswamy, ministers of the UT government, and other officials for their concerted efforts in the special drive since February 2023. Their dedication and commitment have played a crucial role in achieving remarkable progress in the implementation of the Modi government’s flagship schemes. The collaborative approach between the central and state governments, along with the active participation of officials, has been instrumental in driving positive change in Puducherry.
