A member of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Patel has played a pivotal role in shaping Gujarat’s political landscape and spearheading its growth.
Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel was born and raised in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, to a Gujarati family. In April 1982, Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel successfully obtained his Civil Engineering Diploma from the esteemed Government Polytechnic located in Ahmedabad, marking a significant milestone in his educational journey. Patel’s affiliation with the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) further shaped his political ideology and commitment to public service.
In addition to his political career, Patel is a respected builder and has made significant contributions to the construction industry. He is actively involved in various social and philanthropic organizations, serving as a trustee of the Sardardham Vishwa Patidar Kendra and chairman of the standing committee of the Vishwa Umiya Foundation. During his political career, Bhupendra Rajnikant Patel actively contributed to the development of Memnagar Nagarpalika as a member during the periods of 1995-1996, 1999-2000, and 2004-2006. Patel’s leadership qualities were recognized when he became the President of Memnagar Nagarpalika in 1999-2000.
Additionally, he held the position of Vice Chairman of the school board of the Amdavad Municipal Corporation (AMC) from 2008 to 2010. His dedication and effective governance were evident during his tenure as the chairman of the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) from 2015 to 2017. Patel also served as the chairman of the Standing Committee of the AMC.
