General Election 2024: Phase 3 Nominations Start Tomorrow

Tomorrow marks the commencement of nominations for the third phase of General Elections 2024, covering a total of 94 Parliamentary Constituencies (PCs) across 12 States/UTs. The Gazette notification for these constituencies, as well as for the adjourned poll in 29-Betul (ST) PC of Madhya Pradesh, will be issued.

The polling for these 94 PCs, along with the adjourned poll in 29-Betul (ST) PC of Madhya Pradesh, is scheduled to take place on May 7, 2024. The election for 29-Betul (ST) PC, initially slated for the second phase, was adjourned following the demise of a contesting candidate from the Bahujan Samaj Party.

The States/UTs included in Phase 3 of the General Elections 2024 are Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu, Goa, Gujarat, Jammu & Kashmir, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, and West Bengal.

With the issuance of the Gazette notification tomorrow, the electoral process for Phase 3 will officially kick off, marking another crucial milestone in India’s democratic exercise.
