Odisha CM Mohan Charan Majhi to Launch CM-Kisan Yojana on Nuakhai

In a significant move, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi of Odisha will launch the CM-Kisan Yojana on Sunday, September 8th, during the Nuakhai festival celebrations in Sambalpur123. The official launch will take place at the Gangadhar Meher University auditorium and will benefit farmers not covered under the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-Kisan) scheme.

Key Details of CM-Kisan Yojana

  • Farmers not covered under PM-Kisan will receive assistance of Rs 4,000 in two phases.
  • In the first phase of Nuakhai, farmers will get Rs 2,000.
  • Landless farmers who were not beneficiaries of PM-Kisan will also receive assistance under the CM-Kisan scheme.

Significance of the Launch

  • It will be attended by Union Education Minister and Sambalpur MP Dharmendra Pradhan, Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, Minister of Rural Development, Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Rabi Narayan Naik, and Sambalpur MLA Jaynarayan Mishra.
  • As Majhi is visiting Sambalpur for the first time to be part of the major festival of western Odisha, it will be the first instance people of Sambalpur will celebrate Nuakhai in the presence of their CM.
  • Majhi is scheduled to attend four Nuakhai Bhetghat events in the city.
