The Bollywood epic Padmaavat, directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, is returning to cinemas for a special re-release on February 6, 2025. The film, which initially captivated audiences with its grand visuals and compelling performances, will once again grace the big screen.
The announcement was made on Bhansali Productions’ official Instagram page on January 22, with the caption: “The epic saga re-releases on a new date – 6th February 2025! Relive the iconic tale on the big screen #PadmaavatOn6thFeb.”

Padmaavat is based on the story of Queen Padmavati (Deepika Padukone), a beautiful and intelligent ruler who becomes the subject of obsession for the ruthless Sultan Alauddin Khilji (Ranveer Singh).
The movie explores Padmavati’s unwavering commitment to her kingdom, as she takes drastic measures to safeguard it from the invaders. Shahid Kapoor plays Maharawal Ratan Singh, Padmavati’s devoted husband, whose fate is intertwined with hers.
