He joined Monza the following season but returned to France a year later to play for Nice where he was converted into a full-back. He joined Monaco in 2002 and was part of the team that reached the 2004 UEFA Champions League Final.

Early Life:-

CO Les Ulis is Evra’s hometown club where he began his football career. Patrice Latyr Evra was brought to the club by friend Tshymen Buhanga, who informed the club coach, “I bring you the new Romário,” after playing in the streets for years. Coach Jean-Claude Giordanella later became vice president of the club, but Evra only spent one year under his watch at the club.

“Quieter, almost shy,” is how Giordanella described the player. He was a good boy. While training at Les Ulis, Evra originally played football in the striker position and underwent trials with professional clubs Rennes and Lens. Evra was rejected primarily due to his size following the conclusion of the evaluations.

He joined the amateur club CSF Brétigny based in nearby Brétigny-Sur-Orge in 1993. After his time with Les Ulis, Evra went on several trials with different clubs, the most notable ones being Toulouse and Paris Saint-Germain. He was signed by the latter and converted into a winger. Evra, who trained at the Camp des Loges for a few months, was later released.
