PM-Kisan Scheme: The Government of Uttar Pradesh has taken a significant step towards supporting its agricultural community by disbursing ₹4376.67 crore to farmers under the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ scheme. This allocation, part of the scheme’s 17th installment, aims to provide financial assistance directly to farmers’ accounts, benefiting a total of 2.09 crore farmers across the state.
In a statement, the UP Government highlighted the importance of this financial aid in bolstering the agricultural sector and supporting farmers’ livelihoods. The scheme, initiated by the central government, continues to play a crucial role in ensuring income support to farmers, especially during challenging times.
To enhance the reach and effectiveness of the ‘Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi’ scheme, the Uttar Pradesh Agriculture Department has announced the upcoming launch of a Farmer Registry. This initiative aims to streamline the identification and enrollment process of eligible farmers, ensuring that all deserving beneficiaries receive timely benefits.
The Farmer Registry will serve as a comprehensive database, facilitating efficient management and disbursement of financial assistance under the PM-Kisan scheme. By integrating technology and administrative efforts, the Uttar Pradesh government seeks to enhance transparency and accountability in delivering agricultural benefits to farmers across the state.
