In a momentous event today, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the National Rozgar Mela via video conferencing, marking a significant occasion as more than 51,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly recruited individuals set to join various government departments and ministries. These recruits, chosen from across the nation, are scheduled to contribute to departments such as the Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, & Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others.
During his address, the Prime Minister celebrated the milestone reached by the Rozgar Mela initiative, emphasizing its substantial contribution to providing government job opportunities to lakhs of youths over the last year. He congratulated the newly appointed recruits and their families, recognizing the significant achievement of offering over 50,000 government jobs to the country’s youth.
PM Modi highlighted the government’s unwavering commitment to the future of India’s youth, emphasizing the mission-mode approach and commitment toward youth employment. He underscored the government’s dedication not only to providing employment but also to ensuring a transparent and streamlined recruitment system. The Prime Minister elaborated on the extensive efforts to restructure examination procedures, significantly reducing the overall time taken in the recruitment process.
“Moreover, the Prime Minister noted the success and growth in various sectors creating new job opportunities. He mentioned Dhordo village’s recognition by the United Nations, World Heritage site recognition for the Hoysala temple complex, and developments in Shanti Niketan, all contributing to increased tourism and job creation for the youth. PM Modi highlighted the government’s efforts in strengthening traditional sectors while promoting new areas such as renewable energy, space, automation, and defense exports”.
PM Modi stressed the resurgence of Khadi, resulting in significant sales growth, generating numerous jobs, particularly benefiting women. He outlined the critical role of skilling and education initiatives, including the new National Education Policy and the establishment of various educational institutions to empower the youth with the necessary skills.
“The Prime Minister acknowledged the importance of the newly appointed recruits in the nation-building process, urging them to contribute effectively to India’s progress and utilize learning resources like the iGOT Karmayogi portal. PM Modi concluded by encouraging the recruits to promote ‘Vocal for Local’, highlighting its role in boosting employment opportunities within the country”.
