PM Modi Addresses On Skilling & Education For Youth At Post-Budget Webinar.

On the 25th of February The Prime Minister of India, Modi addressed a post-budget webinar on ‘Harnessing the Power of Youth – Skills and Education’, the third in a series of 12 post-budget webinars organized by the government for effective implementation of Was looking for ideas and suggestions.

In his address, the Prime Minister emphasized that Skill and Education are the two principal tools during India’s Amrit Kaal, and it is the youth who are leading the nation’s Amrit Yatra with the perception of a developed India. He highlighted the special emphasis given to the youth and their future in the first budget of Amrit Kaal and stated that this year’s budget strengthens the foundations of the education system by making it practical & industry-oriented.

The PM lamented the lack of flexibility in the education system over the years and referred to the efforts of the government to bring about change. The PM said that education and skilling had been re-oriented to fit the aptitude of the youth and the demands of the future. He further said that as part of the new educational policy, equal emphasis is being laid on both education and skilling, and expressed happiness that the move has found support from teachers.

The PM noted the experiences during the COVID pandemic and underlined that new technology is helping create new kinds of classrooms. He pointed out the possibility of Virtual Labs and the National Digital Library becoming a huge medium of knowledge and mentioned the opportunity to study in local languages through DTH channels. He stated that such futuristic steps are going to change the entire space of education, skills, and knowledge-science and that the role of teachers will not be limited only to the classroom.

The PM also highlighted the importance of ‘on-the-job learning’ and the efforts of the Union government to provide focused internships and apprenticeships to its youth to give them ‘exposure outside the classroom’. He urged the industry and educational institutions to make maximum use of the National Internship Portal and further expand the culture of internship in the country.

He expressed the belief that apprenticeships will make Indian youth future-ready and highlighted the provision of a stipend that has been made available for about 50 lakh youth under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme.

The Prime Minister’s address highlighted the government’s commitment to strengthening the education and skilling sectors in India and the importance of empowering the youth to lead the nation towards a more developed future.
