On the occasion of India’s 78th Independence Day, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi received a telephone call from Israeli Prime Minister H.E. Mr. Benjamin Netanyahu. PM Netanyahu extended his warm wishes to PM Modi and the people of India.
During the call, the two leaders discussed the current situation in West Asia, with PM Modi emphasizing the importance of de-escalation and the immediate release of all hostages. He reiterated India’s call for continued humanitarian assistance for those affected and stressed the need for an early and peaceful resolution of the conflict through dialogue and diplomacy.
Additionally, the two leaders discussed various aspects of the India-Israel Strategic Partnership and explored ways to further strengthen bilateral cooperation. Both leaders agreed to remain in touch and continue their efforts toward mutual goals.
