PM Modi Assures Support and Aid for Wayanad Landslide Victims

In the wake of the devastating landslide in Wayanad, Kerala, Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted an aerial survey and visited the disaster-hit areas. He met with injured patients and residents of relief camps, offering his condolences and support. Modi emphasized that the Central Government stands firmly alongside the State Government in providing necessary assistance.

Wayanad: Central Government’s Support and Relief Efforts

Prime Minister Modi reassured that the Central Government is fully committed to the relief efforts in Wayanad. During a review meeting, he highlighted that disaster management funds have been released, with additional funds to follow. Central agencies, including the NDRF, SDRF, Army, State Police, and local medical teams, have been mobilized to assist with rescue and recovery operations.

Long-Term Support and Recovery Plans

Modi stressed the importance of formulating long-term schemes to support those affected by the landslide, particularly children who have lost their families. He expressed confidence that the state government, with central support, will effectively address the needs of the region and help rebuild homes, schools, and infrastructure.
