PM Modi Commemorates 150th Anniversary of Srila Prabhupada at Bharat Mandapam

Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered a poignant address at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, marking the 150th anniversary of Srila Prabhupada ji, the founder of the Gaudiya Mission. The Prime Minister paid homage to Srila Prabhupada by unveiling a commemorative stamp and coin in his honor.

In his speech, Prime Minister Modi highlighted the significance of Bharat Mandapam as a center for spiritual discourse, drawing parallels to the historic ‘Anubhav Mandap’ of Lord Basweshwara. He emphasized the role of Srila Prabhupada in preserving and propagating the tenets of the Vaishnava faith.

Reflecting on India’s spiritual consciousness, Prime Minister Modi underscored the importance of reconnecting with our roots and heritage. He lauded the invaluable contributions of saints and spiritual leaders in shaping India’s cultural ethos and guiding the nation through challenging times.

Prime Minister Modi emphasized the unity in diversity that defines India, stressing the spiritual belief of ‘Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat’. He praised the youth for embracing both tradition and modernity, leading the nation towards progress while honoring its cultural heritage.

The event also witnessed the presence of Union Ministers Arjun Ram Meghwal and Meenakshi Lekhi, among other dignitaries. Prime Minister Modi concluded his address with a vision for a harmonious blend of development and heritage, guided by the blessings of saints, towards the welfare of humanity.
