On 22nd December PM Modi expressed deep grief over the demise of former Pune mayor and MLA, Maharashtra, Smt. Mukta Tilak.
“Smt. Mukta Tilak Ji served the society with diligence. She made a mark by raising pro-people issues and had a noteworthy tenure as Pune’s Mayor. Her commitment to BJP will always be cherished by Karyakartas. Pained by her demise. Condolences to her family and supporters”.
About Mukta Tilak:-
Mukta Tilak, an Indian politician, was born on 17 August 1965 and died on 22 December 2022. She was elected to the Maharashtra Legislative Assembly from Kasba Peth in the 2019 state elections as a member of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
Tilak was elected Mayor of Pune for a period of two years, from 2017 to 2019. Tilak was the first mayor of the BJP. He died from cancer on December 22, 2022, in Pune.
