About 71,000 appointment letters were distributed to newly inducted recruits in Government departments and organizations by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today via video conferencing.
The Prime Minister has committed to prioritizing employment generation highly, and the Rozgar Mela is a step towards fulfilling that commitment. The Rozgar Mela is expected to help create more jobs and provide opportunities for youth empowerment and participation in national development.
On the occasion, PM Modi also interacted with the appointees:-
The first person to interact with the Prime Minister was Ms. Suprabha Biswas from West Bengal, who got her appointment letter for Punjab National Bank. The Prime Minister was thanked for the quick completion of the formalities of the appointment and the opportunity to serve. She also asked about the Prime Minister’s continuing studies.
She explained her association with the iGOT module and said that it had many benefits. Her job’s digital transaction promotion was also inquired about by Shri Modi. The Prime Minister was happy to see the girls taking new strides in every field.
Mr. Faisal Shaukat Shah from Srinagar, Jammu & Kashmir, who got appointed as a Junior Assistant in NIT, Srinagar, interacted with the Prime Minister and informed him that The first member of the family to land a government job.
He asked the Prime Minister about the impact of his appointment on his peers. The Prime Minister was informed by Faisal that his friends are feeling inspired to join a government job. The benefits of the iGOT Module were also conveyed. ”
“PM Modi said that the youth of Faisal Jammu and Kashmir is full of potential and will reach new heights.” He asked the young appointee to keep on learning.
Ms. Vahnei Chong, from Manipur, received her appointment letter as a Nursing Officer at AIIMS, Guwahati. She said that it was her dream to be in the health sector in the Northeast. She is, like others, the first appointee in a government job from her family.
The Prime Minister asked her about any obstacles she faced during the selection process and also asked her to share her experience. She said she also wanted to keep learning.
She also informed me about sensitization and learning about the provisions dealing with sexual harassment in the workplace. “The appointment in the Northeast region is a great accomplishment,” the Prime Minister said.
Addressing the gathering, the Prime Minister remarked that this is the first Rojgar Mela of 2023 which has brought the priceless gift of government jobs to 71,000 families. The Prime Minister congratulated the newly appointed people and said that these employment opportunities would instill a new ray of hope not only among the people appointed but also in crores of families.
The Prime Minister informed that in the coming days, lakhs of new families will be appointed in government jobs as job fairs are being organized regularly in NDA-ruled states and union territories.
He informed that the Assam government had organized a job fair yesterday itself and very soon states like Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Maharashtra, and Uttarakhand are going to organize it. The Prime Minister said that regular job fairs have become a symbol of this government. They show that every resolution taken by this government has come true.

The new recruits will join various positions such as Junior Engineers, Loco Pilots, Technicians, Inspector, Sub Inspectors, Constable, Stenographers, Junior Accountant, Grameen Dak Sevak, Income Tax Inspector, Teachers, Nurses, Doctors, Social Security Officers, PAs, MTS under the Government of India.
During this Rozgar program, the experience of newly inducted officials in learning from the Karmayogi Prarambh module will also be shared. All new appointees in various Government departments must complete the Karmayogi Prarambh module, an online orientation course.
