In a significant development, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi expressed his appreciation for the commendable efforts of the Border Roads Organisation (BRO) in completing a remarkable 90 infrastructure projects. Valued at over Rs. 2,900 crore, these projects are strategically spread across 11 States and Union Territories and were formally dedicated to the nation by the honorable Raksha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh.
The Prime Minister took to Twitter to convey his sentiments, emphasizing the importance of these infrastructure initiatives in enhancing the border areas. The Prime Minister emphasized, “These projects hold significant importance in substantially improving infrastructure in our border regions.”
“The Border Roads Organisation plays a crucial role in the development of infrastructure in remote and challenging terrains along India’s borders. These projects encompass a diverse range of vital infrastructure components, from road networks to bridges and tunnels, designed to facilitate connectivity and accessibility in these strategically significant regions”.
“Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, while inaugurating these projects, acknowledged the dedication and commitment of the BRO in executing these tasks efficiently and on schedule. These initiatives not only contribute to the region’s development but also bolster national security by enhancing accessibility for our armed forces in border areas”.
