PM Modi Interacts with IAS 2022 Batch, Emphasizes Proactive Governance

IAS 2022 Batch: Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged with 181 Officer Trainees of the IAS 2022 Batch, who are currently serving as Assistant Secretaries in various Ministries and Departments, at Sushma Swaraj Bhawan in New Delhi. During the interaction, the officers shared their training experiences. The Prime Minister reminisced about his previous interaction with the officers during the Aarambh program in 2022, highlighting the significance of the Assistant Secretary program. He emphasized that this initiative aims to provide young officers with valuable experiential learning opportunities, enabling them to understand the administrative process from the top to the bottom of the pyramid.

IAS 2022 Batch: Emphasis on Proactive Governance

Prime Minister Modi highlighted the need for a proactive approach in New India, which demands the best possible governance, manufacturing quality, and quality of life for all citizens. He discussed schemes like Lakhpati Didi, Drone Didi, and PM Awas Yojana, urging the officers to adopt a saturation approach to ensure social justice and prevent discrimination. He encouraged them to choose to be catalysts for change rather than obstacles in service delivery.

Nation First Philosophy

Stressing the importance of the “Nation First” philosophy, Prime Minister Modi stated that it is not merely a slogan but his life’s aim. He urged the officers to join him on this journey and reminded them that the accolades they received upon selection as IAS officers were in the past. Instead, they should focus on moving forward and contributing to the nation’s future.

IAS 2022 Batch: Senior Officials in Attendance

The interaction saw the presence of several senior officials, including Shri Jitendra Singh, Minister of State (Personnel), P.K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the PM, Rajiv Gauba, Cabinet Secretary, & A.K. Bhalla, Secretary (Home and DoPT). These leaders emphasized the significance of the trainees’ roles and the expectations placed upon them in their respective positions.
