PM Modi Inaugurated Various Projects Worth About 38,800 Crores In Maharashtra.

Maharashtra: On the 19th of January Modi inaugurated the foundation stones of several development initiatives projects in Mumbai. The Prime Minister also initiated the transfer of loans sanctioned to over one lakh beneficiaries under the PM SVANidhi scheme.

These projects include dedicating Mumbai Metro Rail Lines 2A and 7 to the nation, laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and seven sewage treatment plants, inaugurating 20 Hinduhridaysamrat Balasaheb Thackeray Aapla Dawakhana and starting a road construction project for about 400 km.

The Prime Minister addressed the gathering, saying that projects would play a major role in making Mumbai a better metropolitan area. He congratulated the beneficiaries and Mumbaikars.

“The Prime Minister recalled the previous period in India where only poverty was discussed and getting aid from the world was the only option,” This is the first time since independence that India has had the courage to turn its dreams into reality”.

“This is the first instance when the world is showing faith in the resolve of India, which he also highlighted. The world shares the same optimism for India as Indians eagerly await a developed India, said the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister said that this positivity is because of the belief that India is putting its capabilities to good use. ”India today is full of unprecedented confidence.

The Prime Minister said that drawing inspiration from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the spirit of ‘Suraj’ and ‘Swaraj’ is strongly evident in the double-engine government.

The era of scams that harmed the nation and crores of citizens was remembered by the Prime Minister. The Prime Minister said that India has changed its thinking and is now spending on its physical and social infrastructure with a futuristic thinking and modern approach.

He said that while things like housing, toilets, electricity, water, cooking gas, free medical treatment, medical colleges, AIIMS, IIT, and IIM are expanding rapidly, modern connectivity is getting the same push. He said that work is going on both needs and future possibilities.

The Prime Minister stressed that cities play an important role in the creation of Viksit Bharat. Many cities in Maharashtra will help drive India’s growth, he said, during Amrit Kaal.

He said that preparing Mumbai for the future is one of the key priorities of the double-engine government. Shri Modi said that Mumbai had a 10-11 Km long Metro route in 2014, and with a double-engine government Metro, it is rapidly moving towards a 300 km Metro network.

New strength is being given to Mumbai by projects such as the Coastal Road, Indu Mills Smarak, Navi Mumbai Airport, and France Harbour Link. Shri Eknath Shinde and his team are to be congratulated for the remarkable achievement of getting projects like Dharavi Punarvikas and Old Chaul Developments back on track.

The Prime Minister also spoke about the work being done to improve roads in Mumbai and remarked that it showcases the commitment of the double-engine government.
