PM Modi Inaugurates Development Projects Worth ₹7500 Crores in Raipur, Chhattisgarh.

PM Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for a series of development projects worth approximately ₹7500 crores in Raipur, Chhattisgarh Today. These projects encompassed the construction of national highways, railway lines, a bottling plant, and the distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards. The initiatives aimed to boost infrastructure, connectivity, and economic development in the region, fostering growth and improving the lives of the people of Chhattisgarh.

Development Projects Inaugurated by PM Modi in Raipur

During the event, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated several key development projects in Raipur, Chhattisgarh. These projects included the construction of national highways, the doubling of the Raipur – Khariar Road Rail Line, a new railway line connecting Keoti – Antagarh, and a bottling plant of the Indian Oil Corporation at Korba. Additionally, he flagged off the Antagarh – Raipur Train via video link and initiated the distribution of 75 lakh Ayushman Bharat cards to beneficiaries.

Enhancing Connectivity: National Highways and Railway Lines

The inauguration of national highway projects worth around ₹6,400 crores emphasized the government’s focus on enhancing connectivity in Chhattisgarh. These road projects will improve transportation networks and facilitate smoother movement of goods and people, benefiting various sectors of the economy. Additionally, the doubling of the Raipur – Khariar Road Rail Line and the new railway line connecting Keoti – Antagarh will enhance rail connectivity, making travel more convenient and efficient for residents and visitors.

Strengthening Infrastructure: Bottling Plant and Mobile Connectivity

The dedication of the Indian Oil Corporation’s bottling plant in Korba, constructed at a cost of over ₹130 crores, marked a significant milestone in strengthening infrastructure in Chhattisgarh. With a capacity of 60 thousand metric tons per annum, the bottling plant will ensure a steady supply of essential fuel resources to meet the region’s energy needs. Moreover, the improvement in mobile connectivity, with the installation of over 700 mobile towers and the functioning of 300 towers, has empowered the people of Chhattisgarh, especially those in remote and tribal areas, by enabling better communication and access to services.

Economic Corridors and Industrial Development

Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the transformative impact of the Raipur – Dhanbad Economic Corridor and Raipur – Vishakhapatnam Economic Corridor on the region’s economic landscape. These corridors, passing through previously backward and violence-affected districts, hold the potential to bring about significant change and prosperity. The 6-lane road connecting Raipur to Vishakhapatnam will facilitate faster transportation of agricultural produce, bauxite, and handicrafts, stimulating economic growth in the region. The Prime Minister also acknowledged the construction of tunnels and animal passes, ensuring the convenience of wildlife and preserving ecological balance.

Empowering the Poor and Tribal Communities

Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized the government’s commitment to social justice and empowerment. The projects inaugurated in Chhattisgarh, including roads and railway lines connecting settlements of the poor, Dalits, backward classes, and tribals, will improve access to healthcare and other essential services. The significant reduction in mobile connectivity gaps in tribal villages has empowered farmers and laborers, leading to increased opportunities and socio-economic development. The distribution of Ayushman Bharat cards and the implementation of schemes like PM Swanidhi Yojana and MNREGA further support the welfare and upliftment of the marginalized sections of society.
