PM Modi Inaugurates Major Development Projects Worth Rs 35,700 Crores in Jharkhand

Jharkhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurates a slew of transformative development projects in Sindri, Dhanbad, Jharkhand, with an estimated investment of Rs 35,700 crores. These projects encompass key sectors including fertilizer, rail, power, and coal, aiming to bolster the region’s infrastructure and stimulate economic growth.

Addressing the gathering, PM Modi hails the commencement of projects totaling over Rs 35,700 crores as a significant milestone for Jharkhand’s progress. He extends congratulations to the farmers, tribals, and citizens of the state, emphasizing the government’s unwavering commitment to their welfare.

Reflecting on the Sindri Fertiliser Plant, PM Modi recalls his promise to revive the facility, stating, “This was Modi ki Guarantee, and today this guarantee has been fulfilled.” He underscores the importance of the plant in generating employment opportunities for local youth and advancing the vision of ‘Aatmanirbhar Bharat’.

Highlighting the significance of the fertilizer sector, PM Modi emphasizes the government’s efforts to bridge the gap between urea demand and supply, citing substantial increases in urea production over the years. He announces plans for additional fertilizer plants across the country, propelling India towards self-sufficiency in urea production.

PM Modi lauds the railway revolution in Jharkhand, inaugurating new rail lines, doubling existing ones, and initiating various rail projects. He emphasizes the socio-economic impact of improved rail connectivity, including the Dhanbad-Chandrapura line and the Deoghar – Dibrugarh train service.

Furthermore, PM Modi underscores the importance of power projects in Jharkhand, inaugurating Unit 1 (660 MW) of the North Karanpura Super Thermal Power Project in Chatra. These initiatives are expected to enhance power supply, foster employment generation, and facilitate socio-economic development in the state.

In his closing remarks, PM Modi reaffirms the government’s commitment to holistic development, particularly focusing on tribal communities, the poor, youth, and women. He envisions India’s journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047, urging concerted efforts to realize this goal.

The event witnesses the presence of dignitaries including Governor of Jharkhand, Shri C P Radhakrishnan, Chief Minister of Jharkhand, Shri Champai Soren, and Union Minister, Shri Arjun Munda, among others.

The inauguration of these projects marks a significant step towards realizing Jharkhand’s potential and fostering inclusive growth and prosperity in the region.
