Telangana: Prime Minister Narendra Modi embarked on a momentous occasion in Adilabad, Telangana, as he unveiled a series of transformative developmental projects worth more than ₹56,000 crores. Addressing the gathering, he emphasized the pivotal role of Adilabad in driving development not only in Telangana but also across the nation, with more than 30 projects dedicated to the nation or witnessing their foundation stones laid.
“Highlighting the collaboration between the Central Government and Telangana, Prime Minister Modi reiterated the commitment to realizing the aspirations of the state’s citizens. Notable among the projects inaugurated is the NTPC’s 800 MW Unit-2 of the Telangana Super Thermal Power Project, which is set to enhance electricity generation capacity in the state significantly”.
Prime Minister Modi also emphasized the importance of modern rail and road projects, such as the electrification of the Ambari – Adilabad – Pimpalkhuti rail line and the foundation stone laying for two major National Highway projects. These initiatives are poised to accelerate connectivity, reduce travel time, spur tourism, and create numerous employment opportunities, not only in Telangana but also in neighboring regions.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi underscored the significance of state-led development in fostering national progress. He highlighted India’s robust economic growth, attributing it to better governance and increased trust in the country. The Prime Minister emphasized the government’s focus on uplifting the marginalized sections of society, with more than 25 crore people rising out of poverty through welfare schemes.
The event witnessed the presence of dignitaries, including the Governor of Telangana Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan, the Chief Minister of Telangana Shri Revantha Reddy, and Union Minister Shri G Kishan Reddy, among others. Together, they celebrated the inauguration of various power sector projects, laying the foundation stones for future endeavors, and reinforcing the commitment to inclusive development.
Furthermore, Prime Minister Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for several power sector projects across the country, underscoring the government’s holistic approach towards infrastructure development. These projects, spanning solar, hydro, and thermal power generation, aim to bolster the nation’s energy security and propel sustainable growth.
In addition to the power sector, the Prime Minister also addressed projects in the road and rail sectors during his visit, reinforcing the government’s commitment to comprehensive infrastructure development.
