New Vande Bharat Trains: Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi will inaugurate three new Vande Bharat Express trains on August 31, 2024, at 12:30 PM via video conferencing. This launch aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of ‘Make in India’ and Aatmanirbhar Bharat, showcasing state-of-the-art trains designed to enhance connectivity across three key routes: Meerut – Lucknow, Madurai – Bengaluru, and Chennai – Nagercoil.
The Meerut City – Lucknow Vande Bharat Express will reduce travel time by approximately one hour compared to the current fastest service between the cities. Similarly, the Chennai Egmore – Nagercoil and Madurai – Bengaluru Vande Bharat trains will reduce travel times by more than two hours & approximately one hour and thirty minutes, respectively.
These new trains will offer world-class travel experiences with improved speed and comfort, benefiting passengers across Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. The introduction of these Vande Bharat Express trains sets a new benchmark in rail service, catering to regular travelers, professionals, businesspeople, and students, and significantly enhancing regional connectivity.
