PM Modi Participates In The Program Of The Banjara Community today.

Karnataka: On the 19th of January PM Modi said, “Culturally and historically, the month of January is an important one. Today, several people belonging to the Banjara community will celebrate the festival of development. It is a big day for them”.

PM said, “Here is how our Government has worked to address the inconveniences faced by the Banjara community”.”The Banjara community has seen hard days,” said PM Modi. He talked about scholarships for the youth of the Banjara community and livelihood support like constructing pucca houses.

He said that problems arising from the nomadic lifestyle are also being addressed. The Prime Minister said that the steps taken today were recommended in 1993, but vote bank politics delayed it. The Prime Minister said that the indifferent atmosphere has now changed.

“Do not worry,” the Prime Minister said, appealing to the mothers of the Banjara community. One of your sons is taking notes in Delhi. After the tanda inhabitations get recognized as villages, the development of basic amenities in the villages will get a boost, emphasized the Prime Minister. He noted that, after getting their title deeds, families will live freely, and availing loans from banks will become a lot easier.

The Prime Minister informed that the Central Government is distributing property cards for rural houses across the country through the Svamitva Scheme and that now the Banjara community in Karnataka can also avail of it.

The Prime Minister said that the Banjara community can now avail of all these welfare schemes of the double engine government, including the PM Awas Yojna that gives pakka A household, toilet, electricity connection, piped water connection, and gas connection.”The Prime Minister said that living in the slums is no longer a reality.”

The Karnataka Government is creating employment opportunities for the Banjara community, which the Prime Minister noted. These products are now becoming a source of income, including forest produce, dry wood, honey, and fruits. He informed that the number of forest produce on which the previous governments gave MSPs has gone up from a handful to more than 90. The Karnataka government’s decisions to benefit the Banjara community were reiterated.

“Even many decades after the Independence,” said PM Modi, “a huge section of the population is deprived of the fruits of development and is outside the ambit of government assistance.”

“For the first time, Dalits, deprived, backward, tribals, divyang, children, and women are getting their due. They are receiving basic facilities and receiving them quickly. “We have a visual strategy for empowering the people,” Shri Modi asserted”.

“When people’s basic needs are fulfilled and their dignity is restored, they start to have new aspirations,” Modi said. He mentioned schemes like Ayushman Bharat and free ration.

The Prime Minister said that Jan Dhan’s accounts brought this neglected section into the financial mainstream. This gave rise to new entrepreneurs from these classes. He informed that 70 percent of Mudra beneficiaries are women. In the SVANidhi scheme, street vendors are getting collateral-free loans.

The Prime Minister said that by going a step further with ‘Avkasha’, meaning the creation of new opportunities, they are giving new confidence to the youth of the deprived sections.
