PM Modi to Commemorate ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ with Youth March-Past and Nationwide Programs

On December 26, 2023, at 10:30 AM, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to participate in the ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ program at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, where he will also oversee a march-past by the youth of Delhi.

In observance of this day, the Government is orchestrating engaging events nationwide to inform and educate citizens, especially young children, about the remarkable courage of the Sahibzades. A digital exhibition highlighting the life stories and sacrifices of the Sahibzades will be showcased in schools and childcare institutions across the country. Additionally, a nationwide screening of a film on ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ is planned. Online competitions, including interactive quizzes, will be conducted through MYBharat and MyGov portals.

This initiative stems from the Prime Minister’s announcement on the Prakash Purab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji on January 9, 2022, where he declared December 26 as ‘Veer Bal Diwas’ to commemorate the martyrdom of Sri Guru Gobind Singh’s sons, Sahibzadas Baba Zorawar Singh Ji and Baba Fateh Singh Ji.
