The nine Vande Bharat trains set to be inaugurated will redefine rail travel in India. These trains are:
- Udaipur – Jaipur Vande Bharat Express
- Tirunelveli-Madurai-Chennai Vande Bharat Express
- Hyderabad – Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express
- Vijayawada – Chennai Vande Bharat Express
- Patna – Howrah Vande Bharat Express
- Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express
- Rourkela – Bhubaneswar – Puri Vande Bharat Express
- Ranchi – Howrah Vande Bharat Express
- Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express
Enhanced Connectivity Across Eleven States
These trains will foster improved connectivity across eleven states, benefitting residents and travelers in Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Bihar, West Bengal, Kerala, Odisha, Jharkhand, and Gujarat. The Vande Bharat trains are designed to be the fastest along their respective routes, significantly reducing travel time. Compared to the current fastest trains on these routes, these Vande Bharat Express trains will offer remarkable time savings:
- Rourkela- Bhubaneswar – Puri Vande Bharat Express and Kasaragod – Thiruvananthapuram Vande Bharat Express: 3 hours faster
- Hyderabad – Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express: Over 2.5 hours faster
- Tirunelveli-Madurai- Chennai Vande Bharat Express: Over 2 hours faster
- Ranchi – Howrah Vande Bharat Express, Patna – Howrah Vande Bharat Express, and Jamnagar-Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Express: Approximately 1 hour faster
- Udaipur – Jaipur Vande Bharat Express: Approximately 30 minutes faster
Connecting Religious and Pilgrimage Centers
In alignment with the Prime Minister’s vision of improving connectivity to religious and pilgrimage sites, two of these Vande Bharat Express trains, Rourkela- Bhubaneswar – Puri and Tirunelveli-Madurai- Chennai, will connect the revered towns of Puri and Madurai. Additionally, the Vijayawada – Chennai Vande Bharat Express will operate via the Renigunta route, providing enhanced access to the Tirupati Pilgrimage center.
