PM Modi to inaugurate Haldia-Barauni Crude Oil Pipeline

Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to embark on a comprehensive two-day tour spanning Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Bihar, symbolizing a wave of transformative development initiatives. Commencing on March 1st, the Prime Minister’s itinerary encompasses a diverse range of sectors, from infrastructure to energy, aimed at propelling the socio-economic landscape of these states.

In Jharkhand, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the foundation stones for an array of projects totaling Rs. 35,700 crore. These initiatives include vital endeavors in the fields of fertilizers, railways, power, and coal sectors. Notably, the inauguration of the Hindustan Urvarak & Rasayan Ltd (HURL) Sindri Fertiliser Plant marks a significant stride towards self-sufficiency in urea production, benefiting farmers and enhancing agricultural productivity.

Moving to West Bengal, Prime Minister Modi will unveil projects worth over Rs. 7,200 crore in Arambagh, Hooghly, focusing on critical areas like rail, ports, and oil pipeline infrastructure. Key highlights include the inauguration of Indian Oil’s Haldia-Barauni Crude Oil Pipeline and initiatives for strengthening the Syama Prasad Mookerjee Port, Kolkata.

The journey continues in Krishnanagar, West Bengal, where the Prime Minister will inaugurate projects worth Rs. 15,000 crore, including the Raghunathpur Thermal Power Station Phase II and vital rail and road infrastructure. These endeavors underscore the government’s commitment to bolstering the energy sector and improving connectivity.

In Bihar’s Aurangabad, Prime Minister Modi will mark the inauguration, dedication, and foundation laying of projects exceeding Rs. 21,400 crore. Noteworthy initiatives include the expansion of the Barauni Refinery and significant investments in national highway projects, railways, and wastewater treatment facilities. These projects aim to enhance connectivity, stimulate economic growth, and promote sustainable development across the state.

The tour culminates in Begusarai, Bihar, where Prime Minister Modi will catalyze the energy sector with projects worth Rs. 1.48 lakh crore, spanning oil and gas infrastructure across multiple states. This includes inaugurating the ‘First Oil’ from the KG Basin, a landmark achievement in India’s energy security landscape.
