On December 17, 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Rajasthan to mark the one-year completion of the State Government’s initiatives through the ‘Ek Varsh-Parinaam Utkarsh’ program. During the visit, the PM will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for 24 significant projects valued at over Rs 46,300 crore.
Inauguration of Key Projects
Among the projects being inaugurated, 9 major initiatives worth more than Rs 11,000 crore stand out. These include seven central government projects and two state government projects. Notable ones include the Navnera Barrage, the Smart Electricity Transmission Network, and railway electrification on the Bhildi-Samdari-Luni-Jodhpur-Merta Road-Degana-Ratangarh section. Additionally, the Delhi-Vadodara Green Field Alignment (NH-148N) project, which involves a major bridge over the Mej River, will also be inaugurated.
These projects are aimed at improving infrastructure, energy accessibility, and transportation, all in line with PM Modi’s vision of advancing green energy and sustainable development.
Foundation Stone for Future Projects
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also lay the foundation for 15 major projects valued at over Rs 35,300 crore. These include vital energy and water management initiatives, such as the construction of Ramgarh and Mahalpur Barrages, the transfer of water from the Navnera Barrage to the Bisalpur and Isarda Dams, and the installation of rooftop solar plants on government office buildings.
Energy and Infrastructure Development
Notably, PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation for a 2000 MW solar park in Poogal (Bikaner) and the development of two additional 1000 MW solar parks. These projects will significantly contribute to Rajasthan’s renewable energy capacity, marking a step forward in the state’s green energy mission.
