PM Modi to Inaugurate National Highway Projects in Gurugram

PM Modi’s forthcoming visit to Gurugram, Haryana, on March 11, 2024, signifies a noteworthy advancement in India’s infrastructure development. The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of 112 National Highway projects with a combined value of approximately Rs. One lakh crore.

Among the key highlights of the inauguration ceremony is the unveiling of the Haryana section of the Dwarka Expressway, aimed at improving traffic flow and connectivity between Delhi and Gurugram on NH-48. The 19 km long Haryana section of the 8-lane expressway, constructed at a cost of around Rs. 4,100 crore, includes crucial segments such as the Delhi-Haryana Border to Basai Rail-over-Bridge (ROB) and Basai ROB to Kherki Daula. This project will not only ease congestion but also provide direct connectivity to the IGI Airport in Delhi and Gurugram Bypass.

Additionally, PM Modi will inaugurate several other major projects, including the Urban Extension Road-II (UER-II) in Delhi, Lucknow Ring Road in Uttar Pradesh, NH16 in Andhra Pradesh, NH-21 in Himachal Pradesh, and NH in Karnataka, among others. These projects, collectively worth billions of rupees, aim to enhance connectivity, facilitate trade, and promote socio-economic growth in various states across the country.

Furthermore, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone for various National Highway projects, including the Bengaluru-Kadappa-Vijayawada Expressway in Andhra Pradesh, Belgaum-Hungund-Raichur Section in Karnataka, Shamli-Ambala Highway in Haryana, and Amritsar-Bathinda corridor in Punjab, among others. These projects, along with others across different states, are poised to significantly expand the National Highway network, create job opportunities, and boost trade and commerce, fostering inclusive growth and development nationwide.
