PM Modi: Urea Prices for Farmers in India and Other Nations

In a recent statement, Prime Minister Narendra Modi drew attention to the disparities in urea prices faced by farmers in India as compared to farmers in other nations. He revealed that while Indian farmers can purchase a bag of urea for a relatively affordable price of Rs 266, farmers in Pakistan pay Rs 800, farmers in Bangladesh pay Rs 720, farmers in China pay Rs 2100, and farmers in America pay more than Rs 3000 for the same quantity of urea.

The Prime Minister’s remarks shed light on the challenges and differences in agricultural input costs between countries, indicating the need for sustainable policies and support mechanisms for farmers in India. By highlighting the relatively lower cost of urea for Indian farmers, PM Modi aims to underline the government’s efforts to keep essential agricultural inputs affordable, contributing to the welfare and prosperity of the farming community in the country.
