PM Modi to inaugurate the 1st-ever National Training Conclave at the International Exhibition & Convention Centre Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on 11th June 2023, at 10:30 AM. The conclave serves as a platform to further enhance the capacity building of civil services in India, in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision of improving governance and policy implementation through effective training and development.
Mission Karmayogi: Building a Future-Ready Civil Service
Prime Minister Modi has been a strong advocate for improving the skills, attitude, and knowledge of civil servants to create a future-ready civil service. To achieve this vision, the government launched the National Programme for Civil Services Capacity Building (NPCSCB) – ‘Mission Karmayogi’. This program aims to equip civil servants with the necessary competencies and capabilities to meet the evolving challenges of governance effectively.
Objectives of the National Training Conclave
The National Training Conclave is a significant step towards realizing the goals of the NPCSCB. Hosted by the Capacity Building Commission, the conclave aims to foster collaboration among civil services training institutes and strengthen the training infrastructure across the country. The conclave will provide a platform for over 1500 representatives from various training institutes, including Central Training Institutes, State Administrative Training Institutes, Regional and Zonal Training Institutes, and Research institutes, to come together and exchange ideas.
Panel Discussions: Addressing Key Concerns
The National Training Conclave will include eight-panel discussions, with each session dedicated to addressing important issues that are relevant to civil services training institutes. These discussions will serve as platforms to identify challenges, explore opportunities, and generate actionable solutions and comprehensive strategies for capacity building. Some of the topics that will be covered include faculty development, training impact assessment, content digitization, and other critical areas that contribute to the effectiveness of civil services training.
Faculty Development: Enhancing Teaching and Mentoring Capacities
One of the key areas of focus during the conclave will be faculty development. This discussion will delve into strategies to enhance the teaching and mentoring capacities of trainers in civil services training institutes.
