PM Modi Will Visit Karnataka On 6th February 2023.

The Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi, will visit the state of Karnataka on February 6th, 2023. Prime Minister will inaugurate India Energy Week 2023 at Bengaluru at around 11:30 AM. After 3:30 PM, he will dedicate the HAL helicopter factory at Tumakuru to the nation and lay the foundation stone for various development initiatives.

India Energy Week 2023

Prime Minister of India will inaugurate the India Energy Week 2023 in Bengaluru from February 6th to 8th. The event will bring together leaders from traditional and non-traditional energy industries, governments, and academia to discuss the challenges and opportunities of a responsible energy transition. Over 30,000 delegates, 1,000 exhibitors, and 500 speakers will attend the event.

During the program, the Prime Minister will participate in a roundtable interaction with global oil and gas CEOs and launch multiple green energy initiatives. One such initiative is the launch of E20 fuel, a blend of 20% ethanol with petrol, at 84 retail outlets in 11 states. The government aims to achieve a complete 20% blending of ethanol by 2025.

The Prime Minister will also flag off the Green Mobility Rally, which will feature vehicles running on green energy sources, and launch the ‘Unbottled’ initiative by IndianOil, which aims to phase out single-use plastic through the use of uniforms made from recycled polyester and cotton.

Additionally, the Prime Minister will dedicate the twin-cooktop model of IndianOil’s Indoor Solar Cooking System and flag off its commercial roll-out. This system works on both solar and auxiliary energy sources, providing a reliable cooking solution for India.

PM in Tumakuru

In a significant move towards self-reliance in the defense sector, the Prime Minister of India will dedicate the HAL Helicopter Factory in Tumakuru to the nation. The factory, which was laid by the Prime Minister in 2016, is Asia’s largest helicopter manufacturing facility and will boost India’s capacity to build helicopters indigenously.

Initially, the factory will produce the Light Utility Helicopters (LUH), which is a 3-ton class single-engine multi-purpose helicopter designed and developed in India. The facility will also be expanded in the future to manufacture other helicopters like Light Combat Helicopter (LCH) and Indian Multirole Helicopter (IMRH), and to carry out the repair and overhaul of LCH, LUH, Civil ALH, and IMRH. The factory has the potential to export Civil LUHs in the future.

With the latest Industry 4.0 standards, the Tumakuru facility will enable India to meet its entire requirement of helicopters domestically and establish self-reliance in helicopter design, development, and production. HAL aims to produce over 1000 helicopters weighing between 3-15 tonnes over the next 20 years, providing employment to approximately 6000 people in the region.

Along with dedicating the helicopter factory, Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone of the Tumakuru Industrial Township, which is part of the Chennai Bengaluru Industrial Corridor. He will also lay the foundation stones of two Jal Jeevan Mission projects in Tiptur and Chikkanayakanahalli, aimed at providing clean drinking water to the people of the region.

The dedication of the HAL Helicopter Factory and the launch of the related initiatives in Tumakuru is a crucial step towards self-reliance in the defense sector and providing clean drinking water to the people of the region.
