As we all know that on January 15, Army Day is celebrated all over the country, this day is dedicated to the brave soldiers of our country.
This time the Indian Army is celebrating its 75th Army Day, for the first time in history, Army Day is being celebrated in Bangalore, not in Delhi. The chief guest will be Rajnath Singh. The celebrations will take place under the supervision of the Indian Army’s Southern Command, which has its headquarters in Pune.
History of Army Day:-
In India, Army Day is celebrated on 15 January every year to recognize Lieutenant General Kodandera M. Cariappa’s taking over as the first Commander-in-Chief of the Indian Army from General Francis Roy Bucher, the last British Commander-in-Chief of India, on 15 January 1949.
On the occasion of Army Day, the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has extended his best wishes to all army personnel, veterans, and, their families.

“I convey my best wishes to all army personnel, veterans, and their families on Army Day. May God bless you all. Our Army makes every Indian proud and grateful. Our nation has always been kept safe by them and their service during times of crisis is widely admired.”
